This means it does not require a price match between buyer and seller.&nbsp;Instead, the protocol deploys smart contracts which hold liquidity pools. Users trade against reserves of tokens in these liquidity pools. The smart contracts allow traders to exchange tokens, or add liquidity to the pool in exchange for earning a fee (these are called liquidity providers).To determine the price of the coin, Uniswap uses a unique AMM (Constant Product Market Maker Model), x*y=k, where k is a constant: <ul><li>a smart contract holds x amount of Token A, and y amount of Token B;</li><li>anyone can buy or sell either token;</li><li>the amount that is bought or sold is exchanged with an equivalent amount of the other token in the pool to maintain the constant k;&nbsp;</li><li>this means that the reserves are automatically rebalanced, and tokens can be bought or sold without needing a counterparty.</li></ul><h3>What makes Uniswap noteworthy?&nbsp;</h3>Uniswap is an AMM-based decentralized exchange. It uses pre-funded liquidity pools that replace traditional order book systems. Liquidity providers earn passive income on their deposits through trading fees based on the percentage of liquidity they provide.The algorithms in smart contracts set market prices for the trades, instead of order books. This means that the system is completely decentralized and traders have complete control over their funds.&nbsp;Another noteworthy characteristic is that users can lend their crypto to the platform. Users supply Ethereum tokens to Uniswap “liquidity pools”, earning a fee in return. It also features a machine learning algorithm that evaluates sentiment in social media posts and how popular technical analysis are affecting the market. What Is Fear & Greed Index?

We are assessing Bitcoin's volatility and maximum drawdowns, comparing these metrics with the average values from the past 30 and 90 days. We suggest that an abnormal increase in volatility signals a market driven by fear.

We evaluate current trading volumes and market momentum against 30/90 day averages, then combine these indicators. Typically, high daily buying volumes in a positive market lead us to conclude that the market is excessively greedy or overly bullish.

We collect and tally posts with various hashtags for each coin from Twitter (X) and monitor the speed and volume of interactions within certain time frames. A surge in interaction rates signifies heightened public interest in the coin, which we view as indicative of a greedy market.

A coin’s dominance represents its share of the total crypto market capitalization. For Bitcoin, an increase in dominance often stems from a flight to safety, reducing speculative investments in alt-coins as Bitcoin becomes the preferred safe haven in the crypto space. Conversely, a decrease in Bitcoin dominance suggests growing greed, as investors move into riskier alt-coins anticipating the next major bull run. For other coins, increasing dominance can imply a bullish or greedy sentiment specific to that coin.

We analyze Google Trends data for various Bitcoin-related search queries, focusing on changes in search volumes and identifying other currently popular searches.
