Sentient is a decentralized protocol developing the GRID, an open and community-built network aimed at collaborative advancement toward AGI through composable AI components called Artifacts. They include models, agents, data sources, and tools contributed by builders.

The core interface is Sentient Chat, a universal frontend where users submit queries that trigger coordinated workflows chaining multiple Artifacts across the network to generate responses. It includes Sentient-built components like Dobby (a crypto-aligned model), a Model Fingerprinting Library for embedding custom values into models, an Open Deep Search Library, and ROMA (a meta-agent framework for tool-calling and structured reasoning).

The $SENT token serves as the economic layer: builders earn from Artifact usage in queries, while community members stake $SENT to curate valuable contributors based on metrics like usage, revenue, and expert votes, directing rewards accordingly.
