Sentient is a decentralized protocol developing the GRID, an open and community-built network aimed at collaborative advancement toward AGI through composable AI components called Artifacts. It includes Sentient-built components like Dobby (a crypto-aligned model), a Model Fingerprinting Library for embedding custom values into models, an Open Deep Search Library, and ROMA (a meta-agent framework for tool-calling and structured reasoning). The $SENT token serves as the economic layer: builders earn from Artifact usage in queries, while community members stake $SENT to curate valuable contributors based on metrics like usage, revenue, and expert votes, directing rewards accordingly. The system emphasizes open-source AI development, monetization of contributions, and composability to create a unified intelligence ecosystem rather than isolated models. It has integrated different partners with various Artifacts and supports direct access to individual components beyond the Chat interface.
