What is Skew?

Skew was a London-based cryptocurrency data analytics platform founded in 2018, specializing in institutional-grade market intelligence for digital asset derivatives. The platform provided real-time analytics, trade execution tracking, and comprehensive visualizations for Bitcoin and Ethereum futures and options, serving a wide client base of hedge funds, OTC desks, and trading firms.

In April 2021, Skew was acquired by the leading cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase. This strategic transaction allowed Coinbase to integrate Skew's advanced data infrastructure into its institutional prime brokerage platform, Coinbase Prime, providing professional clients with enhanced market intelligence, real-time analytics, and seamless trade execution under a unified interface.
