ROME is the reserve currency of Kusama & Polkadot. The project is currently deployed to Moonriver, an EVM-compatible canary network. Three chief objectives currently exist for building the future of Rome: 

• Helping build Moonriver & Moonbeam into prospering networks with flourishing ecosystems.
• Growing RomeDAO into the largest holder of total liquidity across Kusama & Polkadot. 
• Unlock the power of governance through gamification and a range of new experiences for stakers, bonders, and general participants in the RomeDAO ecosystem. 

Stakers stake their ROME to earn rebase rewards. The rebase rewards come from the proceeds from bond sales, minting ROME against the protocol's risk-free value (RFV). The reward rate is closely controlled by policy to balance the growth of the protocol with long-term health.

What is Bonding?

Bonding is the primary driver of treasury growth for RomeDAO. It allows ROME to acquire its own liquidity and offer a variety of reserve assets for bonders to receive discounted tokens. Romans provide tokens and liquidity positions for the protocol to own and control. 

RomeDAO is governed by houses and their representatives.
