What is Interchange?

Interchange was an American cryptocurrency portfolio accounting, reconciliation, and reporting platform founded in 2018 by Dan Held and Clark Moody. Designed specifically for hedge funds, asset managers, and fund administrators, the platform provided institutional-grade software tools to track digital asset holdings, audit trade activity, and streamline financial reporting across multiple trading venues.

In July 2019, Interchange was acquired by leading cryptocurrency exchange Kraken. The strategic acquisition integrated Interchange's institutional accounting engine into Kraken's platform ecosystem alongside Cryptowatch, enabling Kraken to offer comprehensive portfolio management and trade reconciliation services to its institutional clients under a single brand.
