STAR project helps Japanese SMEs to effectively communicate their products and technologies. In other words, STAR unearths the valuable products, technologies, and know-how possessed by Japanese SMEs and shines a spotlight on them so that they can be noticed by foreign companies. We will ensure that the funds gained from the revaluation of such products will be returned to Japanese SMEs. SMEs will use the funds to reinvest, enabling them to invest proactively, including overseas.

Foreign companies will not only purchase products, technology, know-how, etc. from Japanese SMEs, but will be able to form partnerships with Japanese SMEs and receive services that will help them gain a foothold in Japan and develop their own products. A win-win relationship is established when good products are properly evaluated and acquired. The economy of not only Japan but the entire world will be revitalized and a sustainable world will be realized.

Our project name “STAR” is a short form of “Startupers” which means current SMEs in Japan have great potential to increase their value dynamically like start-up once they get opportunities to attract attention of or get some feedback from foreign companies.
