What is Staked?

Staked is a non-custodial staking platform and infrastructure provider designed for institutional investors, exchanges, and proof-of-stake network participants. Founded in 2018, the company operates highly secure, performant, and cost-effective block production nodes, enabling clients to earn yield on their crypto assets without relinquishing custody.

In December 2021, Staked was acquired by Payward, Inc., the parent company of the global digital asset exchange Kraken. This strategic acquisition allowed Payward to expand its portfolio of yield products and integrate world-class, non-custodial staking infrastructure into Kraken’s ecosystem, supporting the growing demand for secure institutional node operations.
