Splinterlands’ native cryptocurrency is SPS and it has a total supply of 3,000,000,000 SPS tokens.&nbsp;</p><h3>What are Splinterlands’ key features and how does it work?</h3><p>In order to play the Splinterlands’ game users must have collectible cards. There are two types of cards: Summoners and Monsters. Summoners are magical cards that can be used to summon monsters. Monster cards comprise people and creatures that can enter into battle.</p><p>Magic plays a crucial element in gameplay. Indeed, there are 6 sources of magic: fire, water, earth, life, death, and dragon. Splinters are distinct factions within the game. Summoners and Monsters belong to a specific Splinter, as such summoners can use their magic to summon a monster from the same faction that they belong to. Each collectible card has various attributes that can be increased by playing and advancing through the game levels.</p><p>Registration is free and players can also practice-play for free. However, this gameplay mode does not affect a player’s ranking and players cannot earn any crypto. In order to make a profit, users must deposit at least $10 to access the “Summoner’s Spellbook”. This then gives access to the Play-to-Earn game modes.&nbsp;</p><h3>What is noteworthy about Splinterlands?</h3><p>Splinterlands differs from other NFT blockchain-based games as users can immediately withdraw their NFTs. For example, if a player earns an NFT during gameplay, it can then be withdrawn to a wallet and sold on the open market.&nbsp;</p><h3>What can SPS be used for?</h3><p>SPS can be used to take part in Splinterlands governance.
