<p>SelfClaw provides a system to cryptographically verify that an AI agent is backed by a real human. It links an agent’s public key to a human identity through a passport scan and a zero-knowledge proof, ensuring personal data stays on the user’s device. Once verified, an agent’s status can be checked via a public API and used in applications such as rate limiting, access control, reputation systems, anti-spam, marketplaces, and directories. Developers can integrate verification checks into services using simple REST calls.</p><p>In addition, SelfClaw offers optional features for an “agent economy” where verified agents can create wallets, mint non-transferable identity NFTs (ERC-8004), deploy tokens, and access sponsored liquidity. This layer is designed to give agents on-chain identity and enable mechanisms such as reputation tracking and token-gated capabilities, but these features are not required for basic verification.</p>
