What is SagaChain?

SagaChain is a Layer-1 blockchain designed to address key limitations in scalability, parallel processing, and economic adaptability seen in current blockchain architectures. Developed by PraSaga, the project introduces a sharded blockchain infrastructure using a consensus model that combines Proof-of-Stake (PoS) and Distributed Proof-of-Work (D-PoW). Its main aim is to support a wide range of decentralized applications while enabling high transaction throughput and long-term sustainability.

Central to its architecture is SagaOS, an object-based system that redefines blockchain account structures, allowing each account to hold independently functioning smart objects, which enhances sharding and execution parallelism. Additionally, SagaChain proposes a digital GDP-based economic model for its native currency, SagaCoin, aiming for stable, adaptive supply control based on real blockchain usage rather than fixed or deflationary supply schemes.
