River is a cross-chain stablecoin protocol that lets users collateralize assets on one blockchain and mint the stablecoin satUSD on another, without needing to use bridges or wrappers. The system uses an Omni-CDP (Collateralized Debt Position) module built on LayerZero’s OFT standard to facilitate this native, chain-abstracted minting. Users can also stake satUSD to get satUSD+, a yield-bearing token and share of protocol revenues. There is a Stability Pool to absorb liquidations and help maintain system stability. The protocol maintains risk through overcollateralization, liquidation mechanisms, and other risk management features.

River also has a governance & tokenomics layer: the token RIVER is used for staking, governance, fee discounts, and boosting rewards. Users can engage socially via a module called River4FUN to earn rewards via contributions, community activity, and content. Finally, River supports multi-chain deployment (Ethereum, BNB Chain, Base, Arbitrum, and others), letting users operate across ecosystems.
