Revolution Populi network uses a unique consensus mechanism. Specifically, it uses the random delegated Proof-of-Stake (rdPoS), a variation of the Proof-of-Stake algorithm in which stakers can verify transactions to secure the network. 

The role of validating transactions is delegated to predetermined nodes, which are known as witnesses. 21 witnesses serve the network at any given time, they are randomly selected from a pool of 63 pre-elected nodes. The network’s DAO foundation oversees the voting process. This consensus mechanism ensures transactions are fast
