R2 is a decentralized finance (DeFi) protocol that introduces R2USD, a yield-bearing stablecoin backed by tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) such as U.S. Treasuries, money market instruments, and income-generating real estate. By integrating traditional finance (TradFi) with decentralized finance, R2 enables users to earn passive income while maintaining the stability of a dollar-pegged asset.

The protocol offers various features, including staking R2USD to receive sR2USD for higher yields, providing liquidity in pools like USDC/R2USD, and participating in yield strategies with assets like BTC and ETH. Currently in its testnet phase, R2 incentivizes user engagement through a dual rewards system—Signals and Pulses—which can be earned by interacting with the platform and completing tasks via platforms like Galxe and Intract. These rewards may be convertible into tokens upon the mainnet launch, anticipated in Q2 2025.
