What is QIS Risk?

QIS Risk (Quantitative Investment Solutions Ltd) is a SaaS platform aimed at institutional investors, fund managers, and finance teams, providing tools for portfolio management, risk tracking, and performance analytics for digital assets.

Founded around 2021, headquartered in London, UK, the company integrates data from exchanges, custodians, chains and other sources to give a single, consolidated view of all assets—liquid tokens, OTC trades, derivatives, etc.—across a firm’s entire portfolio. It supports tools such as real-time and historical P&L attribution, performance reporting, risk metrics (volatility, value at risk, exposure, etc.), stress testing/scenario analysis, and trade reconciliation. The platform has a reconciliation engine that helps matching trades, positions, and P&L data (e.g. matching against fund admin / prime broker reports) to catch discrepancies.

The risk model includes forecasting of volatility (for altcoins among others), decomposing returns into common vs instrument-specific variance, and giving metrics and data for ex-ante risk estimation.
