What is ProjectVex?

VEX is a desktop AI agent for autonomous crypto trading that runs locally on the user's machine. The agent can execute trading missions (swaps, bridges) for days without human intervention, but every action must pass through a fail-closed safety gate that the model cannot override. Users can choose Restricted mode (each action requires approval) or Full mode (autonomous execution within set limits). All decisions are logged locally. Keys are stored on-device with AES-256-GCM encryption and never leave the machine.
