Mythos Router is an open-source local CLI tool that adds a verification layer to AI agent file edits. The core mechanism is Strict Write Discipline (SWD): every file modification proposed by a model is treated as a claim, compared against the actual filesystem state using before/after snapshots and hashes, and only committed if the edit matches the claim. Failed writes are rolled back automatically, and successful runs produce local receipts containing file hashes, provider metadata, git context, and drift-check data. The tool supports three operating modes: as a standalone agent interface (chat and one-shot run), as a skill and repo-rule loader for teams, and as an MCP tool server that lets external agents (Claude, other MCP clients) route file actions through SWD verification without Mythos making its own model calls.
