What is LemFi?

LemFi is a fintech platform that provides global multi-currency accounts primarily targeted at African professionals, freelancers, remote workers, and creators. It allows users to open USD and GBP accounts quickly, receive international payments (from platforms like Upwork, Fiverr, PayPal, Wise, etc.) with zero incoming fees, and hold funds in foreign currencies.

Users get unique IBANs for easier direct payments and can send money worldwide at a flat fee. The app supports instant currency conversion at live exchange rates and withdrawal to local bank accounts (especially in Nigeria and other African countries).

It is not a bank itself but partners with regulated banking providers and is licensed by authorities including the FCA, FinCEN, and FINTRAC. The platform is available as a mobile app (iOS and Android) and focuses on helping users avoid high traditional remittance fees and blocked payments while maintaining full earnings.
