What is LAGOON?

Lagoon is BTCfi aggregator on the Sui blockchain for the way users interact with Bitcoin and its ecosystem assets. Lagoon's purpose is to seamlessly connect native Bitcoin, Bitcoin sidechains, and Layer 2 solutions (L2s) with the deep liquidity and high-performance infrastructure of the Sui blockchain. Aggregator empowers users to trade, lend, and borrow BTCfi assets efficiently, while optimizing liquidity and delivering the best price execution.

Lagoon introduces a sBTC bridging model where users lock up collateral (such as BTC or other assets) in a smart contract to mint wrapped Bitcoin (wBTC) or synthetic Bitcoin. The collateral ensures that the wrapped asset is fully backed and redeemable, mitigating the risks associated with synthetic assets.
