Fluid is a DeFi protocol developed by the Instadapp team. It has rebranded from Instadapp in late 2024, with token ticker changed from INST to FLUID) that serves as a connected Liquidity Layer unifying liquidity across integrated protocols for improved capital efficiency and composability. At its core, the Liquidity Layer consolidates funds in a central contract that protocols built on top (e.g., Lending, Vaults, DEX) draw from, allowing assets to be used simultaneously for lending, borrowing, collateral, and trading liquidity without silos. <ul><li>The Lending Protocol enables users to supply assets via ERC-4626 compliant fTokens to earn sustainable yields directly from the Liquidity Layer, providing the "Deposit and Earn" entry point with high efficiency. </li><li>The Vault Protocol supports borrowing against collateral (using oracle price feeds), automated position management, and yield strategies with features like smart debt and smart collateral for optimized leverage and risk. </li><li>The DEX Protocol introduces novel mechanics where debt can act as trading liquidity, generating high capital efficiency (e.g., up to significant multiples in liquidity per TVL) for swaps and strategies. It incorporates automated limits for risk control, a robust oracle system for accurate pricing, and flash loan integrations from prior Instadapp work. </li></ul>Fluid focuses on non-custodial interactions, security (multiple audits like PeckShield), and composability for future protocols to leverage the shared liquidity. Users interact via a unified interface for supplying/borrowing, vault management, trading, and strategies, with the platform emphasizing long-term efficiency over isolated protocol reliance.
