<p>Glitch operates as a blockchain platform that is designed exclusively for DeFi (Decentralized Finance). It aims to reduce the cost of transactions and reward every participant of the Glitch network. The network also has a variety of its own products and applications designed to cater to the DeFi market, this includes a wallet, explorer, staking system, and bridge.</p><p>GLCH is the platform’s native token and has a total supply of 88,888,888.</p><h3>What are Glitch’s key features and how does it work?</h3><p>Glitch has a selection of its own native applications, this includes the GEX, a decentralized exchange that allows participants to trade assets with minimal fees and securely. It also includes profit-sharing features and community stakeholder opportunities. xBridge lets users easily and conveniently transfer tokens across chains. xBridge is also free to use when transferring assets back and forth in short periods of time.</p><p>The Glitch protocol uses a Decay Nominated Proof-of-Stake consensus mechanism. The mechanism has three layers. This modified PoS model helps to avoid the pooling of control. Validators are voted by GLITCH stakers and governance participants to validate the blocks on the GLITCH blockchain. There are 21 validators, Tendermint software randomly selected the block generators among the validators. The 21 validators are selected based on a ranking after a vote. Total block rewards are 1 GLCH plus the sum of all of the transaction fees of verified transactions on the specific block being verified. Block rewards are shared between validators and delegators.</p><p>The Glitch DAO is a crucial part of the network and is where network governance takes place. GLCH holders are entitled to take part in the DAO’s activities and vote on important decisions regarding the network.</p><h3>What is noteworthy about Glitch?</h3><p>Glitch has a grant program that aims to provide capital to developers for them to create and build their applications on the GLITCH Blockchain. The team has designated a $2M fund for allocating grants to such projects it believes will help to further the Glitch protocol in the long term. Some of the benefits of The Glitch Grants Program include receiving technical guidance, funding from $25,000-250,000, as well as marketing support, and more.</p><p>The Glitch network supports a large variety of programming languages for developer teams to create applications. This includes C++, Solidity, Java, JavaScript, and GoLang.
