This includes the use of IBC, Tendermint Core, as well as several other features.</p><p>In order to facilitate high throughput, Evmos uses Tendermint Core technology. Tendermint Core is a Byzantine Fault Tolerant (BFT) layer that is able to replicate applications written in any language on machines across the world. It is highly secure and able to tolerate up to one-third of machines failing, including any malicious behaviour.</p><p>Evmos also has a library on which developers can share and borrow code used in their smart contracts. This is done to encourage platform growth and improve the maintainability of the ecosystem.</p><p>Additionally, Ethereum-based tokens are supported on the Evmos chain thanks to their use of a specific ERC20 module. This allows for a more seamless integration of DeFi protocols into the Evmos ecosystem, and more broadly the Cosmos ecosystem.</p><h3>What can Evmos be used for?</h3><p>Developers can use the Evmos blockchain to deploy smart contracts and decentralized applications that are fully EVM compatible. Furthermore, the protocol offers testnets on which developers can test and run their contracts.&nbsp;</p><p>Additionally, Evmos uses Inter Blockchain Communication (IBS) in order to provide built-in interoperability with chains launched in Cosmos and BFT.</p><h3>Where can you buy EVMOS?</h3><p>EVMOS is available for trading on the following CEXs and DEXs listed here.
