eXRD is a wrapped version of the XRD token that is compatible with the Ethereum network. Its main purpose is to serve as an equivalent and link between the Radix and Ethereum blockchains. The Radix Public Network operates as DeFi platform for deploying applications. It is exchangeable 1:1 with XRD and was initiated in 2020. eXRD allows for the XRD token to be used within the DeFi ecosystem of Ethereum. It was issued before XRD in an attempt to distribute tokens as widely as possible and achieve high levels of decentralization before the launch of staking with Radix’s Delegated Proof-of-Stake system. 

Each eXRD is backed 1:1 by XRD that is securely held by a third-party custodian. Its maximum supply stands at the same as XRD, and the total circulating supply changes as users wrap and unwrap XRD.

• Radix Engine v2, this is the application layer of Radix and where developers can build and develop their applications;
• Component Catalog provides off-the-shelf pre-made common components needed to build dApps. This makes it quicker and more convenient to build dApps on Radix;
• On-ledger Developer Royalties are distributed to developers for their contributions to the Radix network and the component catalog.
