What is D3?

D3 is a project that tokenizes internet domain names existing and future ones like .com, .org, .ai, .xyz as real-world assets (RWAs) to create the first DomainFi network. The core idea is to bridge traditional DNS (Web2 domains) with Web3 by making domains programmable, liquid, and monetizable through on-chain ownership, trading, lending, fractionalization, and DeFi applications, while remaining compliant with ICANN and DNS standards.

It builds the Doma Protocol—a purpose-built blockchain (with testnet live and mainnet planned) for verified tokenization via the Doma app, which connects to registrars to bring millions of domains onchain, converts them into tradable NFTs/tokens without breaking DNS functionality, and enables bridging to ecosystems.
