The Civilization project was founded with the purpose to create an entirely decentralized community that can “disrupt traditional finance” and help to enable users across the globe to earn passive incomes. What are Civilization’s key features and how does it work?

As mentioned, the Civilization ecosystem features two key applications: CivTrade and CivFarm. CivTrade is a community-driven DeFi trading application built to tackle the high gas fees impacting the accessibility of other trading protocols. CivTrade allows users to trade any of the more than 5,000 available tokens. Some of its key features include the first of its kind in the DeFi world automated order book (AOB) functionality, possibility for traders to earn fees, zero slippage, and prevention of front-running.

CivTrade uses Uniswap v3 liquidity pools for executing swaps. It works by sending tokens that traders want to exchange to a specific Uniswap v3 liquidity pool based on the trade target price set by the trader. CivTrade also sets the best price range in order to earn maximum yield and monitors a traders position to execute the trade when the desired price is reached. When markets reach the target price, people who are swapping with Uniswap get matched with the tokens sent from Civilization and the trade is conducted. Trades are automatically executed by CivTrade meaning users do not have to strictly follow the market.

CivFarm operates as a decentralized staking and farming platform. CivFarm provides users with the option to stake CIV and 0NE, but also liquidity tokens, and NFTs. In return for staking tokens users receive rewards in the form of 0NE tokens. Rewards are automatically reinvested until a user decides to withdraw them to their wallet.

CivFarm is managed by Stone governance with use of the 0NE token via the Stone DAO. Holders of the 0NE token can take part in the governance of the platform and vote on upgrades to the platform, and new features. Votes can also include electing new staking pools.
