<p>Caspius is a decentralized data infrastructure protocol on the Base blockchain focused on collecting and distributing real-world embodied AI training data for robotics. The protocol addresses a critical bottleneck in humanoid robotics development: while language models train on trillions of tokens scraped from the internet, the entire global robotics research community has accumulated only around 100,000 hours of real-world manipulation data. Caspius uses smart contracts and a token incentive model to crowdsource robot training datasets from individual contributors, who earn CAS tokens for uploading and validating physical-world demonstration data - egocentric video, manipulation trajectories, and sensor readings.</p><p>The protocol includes mechanisms for data collection, points and energy systems, validation, delegation, and on-chain settlement. Verified datasets are made available to AI developers and robotics labs through a decentralized marketplace, removing dependence on centralized data providers. The thesis behind Caspius draws on research showing that cross-embodiment transfer works - models trained on diverse, real-world human demonstration data outperform those trained on narrow or synthetic datasets. CAS is the native token powering contributions, access, and governance within the protocol.</p>
