What is Casa?

Casa provides a non-custodial vault system so users fully hold their own private keys for digital assets like Bitcoin and Ethereum. Their vaults use a multi-key (multisig) setup—typically 2-of-3 or up to 5 keys depending on the plan—so a transaction needs signatures from multiple devices or keys. One key is held by the user, another by a hardware device, and one “Casa Recovery Key” exists for recovery, though Casa alone cannot move funds without user keys. The vaults are structured to protect against single-point failures like device loss, theft, damage or software vulnerabilities. Casa supports inheritance features: you can designate a recipient, set up conditional vault access, and there's a waiting period before inheritance unlocks. The service also helps users manage hardware wallets, do key replacements, and offers human support for security setup and emergencies. Users can store stablecoins (USDC, USDT), ETH, BTC in the vault. Casa also provides “Casa Pay” for simpler transactions, and a more everyday wallet separated from the high-security vault for smaller amounts.
