What is Loopscale (prev. Bridgesplit)?
Loopscale is a modular, order book–based lending protocol on Solana. It enables overcollateralized borrowing and lending across a wide range of digital assets, including staked tokens, liquidity provider positions, and more specialized primitives.
Key features:
Order book for lending: The protocol directly matches limit orders from lenders and borrowers, as on traditional exchanges. This eliminates the need for a liquidity pool, allows for fixed rates and terms, and ensures that deposit and loan rates are equal (Lend Rate = Borrow Rate).
Modular market architecture: Each market (e.g., SOL, liquid staking tokens, LP positions) is isolated and configured independently. This prevents systemic risks and allows administrators to flexibly manage parameters (LTV, collateral factor) for a specific asset.
Support for complex assets: The infrastructure is specifically designed to work with liquid staking tokens, liquidity provider (LP) positions, tokenised real-world assets (RWA), and other complex collateral types, opening up new opportunities for DeFi.
Loopscale Vaults: A layer of user experience simplification. Vaults automatically aggregate liquidity from the order book, allowing users to operate in a familiar ‘deposit-and-forget’ model while maintaining all the efficiency of the underlying protocol.
