What is Action Model?

ActionModel develops a community-owned Large Action Model (LAM), an AI system designed to perform real digital tasks on computers by interacting with graphical user interfaces (GUIs), rather than just generating text like traditional Large Language Models (LLMs). It observes screen states, decides on actions (such as clicking coordinates, typing, or scrolling) using a proprietary Action Tree built from user contributions, executes those actions, and loops until the task completes. This enables autonomous automation of workflows like data entry, web navigation, or app operations without relying on APIs.

The project counters centralized AI development by Big Tech through community contributions: users install a browser extension for passive or active training and build/sell reusable workflows on a marketplace where executions generate ongoing rewards for creators.

The Actionist desktop app serves as the user-facing tool, allowing creation of specialized AI agents (digital employees with memory, schedules, personalities, and tool access) that run locally or in the cloud for 24/7 operation, with full history tracking for transparency.

$LAM is the native token that powers actions, rewards training and contributions, enables governance, and represents ownership stakes in the AI system.
