Eric Trump Denounces Magic Eden’s Unofficial ‘$TRUMP’ Crypto Wallet

  • Eric Trump slammed Magic Eden and told them to be extremely careful while using Trump’s name in a project that has not been approved.
  • A lot of X users revealed that they are confused about differentiating between $TRUMP, promoted by the president himself, and the other ones.

The crypto-friendly leader, President Donald Trump, is actively participating in various crypto projects, and because of this, his name is being used to promote even those projects who isn’t even linked with him or his venture.

This has somehow spread confusion among users as they aren’t able to distinguish between real and fake ones, and the users are becoming more vulnerable to being scammed.

On June 4, the second son of President Trump, Eric Trump, posted on X to call out a project that had no relation to the official World Liberty Financial crypto project that Trump has so far promoted.

The Magic Eden project was using images of Trump and a $TRUMP crypto ticker to create hype around a future crypto wallet that it claimed was official. The image depicted Trump holding up his fist.

This image was first used by Trump himself to promote his own token on January 18, and due to this, the users got confused. Eric Trump clarified that this project is not authorized by Trump.

The Immense Confusion

Also, he slammed Magic Eden and told them to be extremely careful while using Trump’s name in a project that has not been approved and is not known to anyone in their organization.

A lot of X users revealed that they are confused about differentiating between $TRUMP, promoted by the president himself, and the image called out by his son. Talking about Magic Eden, it is a trading platform having over 800,000 followers on X.

The bio of the account mentioned that its posts were not dedicated to the audiences of the United States or the United Kingdom.

The crypto endorsement, along with his own memecoin $TRUMP, has sparked debate among legal experts concerning potential conflicts of interest and led to massive criticism. On the other hand, the crypto community has openly welcomed the stance of Trump.

Also, they are expecting that his return to the White House will indicate looser crypto rules for businesses.
