TGE (Token Generation Event) is an event where a project issues its tokens to the blockchain network for the first time. Typically, this is also the day when the tokens are first listed on exchanges.

A cliff period is a timeframe following the TGE during which tokens remain locked. After this period ends, the token unlock process begins.

Linear vesting is the even distribution of tokens (daily, monthly, quarterly) over a specified period of time.

Non-linear vesting means that tokens are released unevenly, at varying rates and over different intervals of time.

The vesting schedule graph shows how and when tokens will be unlocked, as well as the distribution of tokens among different groups of holders (team, investors, community, etc.).

The longer the vesting period, the smoother and more gradual the token unlocks occur in the market. This helps to avoid sharp price fluctuations and reduces the risk of mass selling, thereby stabilizing the token's price. In contrast, shorter vesting periods can lead to a significant increase in token supply on the market within a short time, which can cause the price decline.

In most cases, the TGE (Token Generation Event) coincides with the token's initial listing date on an exchange. However, in some instances, TGE may occur significantly earlier than the listing, allowing investors to receive non-tradable tokens before their listing on exchanges.
