What is zkCRO (zkCRO)?
zkCRO is Cronos zkEVM's proprietary revenue token. Secured by CRO steaking, zkCRO earns revenue through transaction fees paid on the Cronos PoS chain.
The zkCRO/CRO exchange rate changes over time to reflect the accumulated rewards from CRO steaking. When rewards accumulate, the zkCRO/CRO exchange rate increases. Conversely, in the event of a slashing event in the Cronos POS chain, the zkCRO value may change.
Users can get zkCRO on Cronos zkEVM by depositing Ethereum CRO on the Cronos zkEVM Bridge . The deposited CRO is pledged into the zkCRO contract and issues zkCRO and then transferred to the user's wallet on Cronos zkEVM.
