<p>WGBERA (Wrapped gBERA) is a liquid staking-related token used within the Berachain decentralized finance ecosystem, particularly on Smilee Finance’s platform. It represents a wrapped, non-rebasing version of gBERA — the liquid staking token that users receive when they stake the native Berachain gas token (BERA) through Smilee Finance. Wrapping gBERA into WGBERA allows holders to use it in liquidity pools and rewards systems instead of simply holding a rebasing staking token.</p><p>As an ERC-4626-style compliant token, WGBERA is designed to integrate better with decentralized finance protocols, letting users provide liquidity, participate in incentive reward vaults, and earn additional protocol incentives such as bribes in governance tokens like BGT. While the underlying gBERA reflects value accrued from staking BERA, WGBERA is structured for active DeFi participation and yield generation through paired pools and rewards distribution mechanisms. Until native withdrawals on Berachain are enabled, redemption from liquid staking is conducted via decentralized exchange liquidity rather than direct unstaking.</p>
