What is Volt Protocol
VOLT is an inflation resistant stablecoin backed by Protocol Controlled Value, a mechanism first pioneered by Fei Protocol. VOLT can be minted using stablecoin collateral such as FEI and DAI, and is pegged to the Consumer Price Index. The Consumer Price Index is a basket of goods that attempts to calculate the average increase in living costs for American consumers. As the CPI rises, VOLT's peg rises with it. VOLT backs this peg by actively investing its stablecoin collateral into yield strategies in venues like Rari Capital and Maple Finance.
