Telos is a Delegated Proof of Stake (DPoS) Layer-1 blockchain designed for high performance and scalability. It supports smart contracts and has fast transaction times, finalizing transactions in about two minutes. Telos features no front-running, fixed low gas fees, and a low carbon footprint. It includes both Telos Zero for C++ applications and Telos EVM for Ethereum-compatible smart contracts, allowing developers to build in multiple languages like Solidity, C++, Go, and Rust. Launched in 2018, it operates without forks or outages and maintains strong security through its consensus mechanism.

Telos was founded by a group of EOSIO software enthusiasts, as such, it runs on the EOSIO software, but it uses a modified genesis block. In this manner, it is both EOSIO compatible and EVM compatible. The project launched in 2018 with no ICO and without any VC funding, this makes it unique and arguably more decentralized than other blockchain platforms.TLOS is the native currency of the Telos blockchain and powers the entire ecosystem. The coin is used for governance, resource ownership, and more. Validators are chosen by Telos stakeholders. Active validators are in charge of running a node that keeps an updated version of the network transaction history. Another group of validators are on “stand-by” in case of any failures or problems with the main ones, they are also rotated into the top 21 validators periodically to prove they are still capable of validating transactions.Some key features of this consensus mechanism are the relatively fast 0.5 second block production times, and therefore transaction speeds. Additionally, the platform is able to keep transaction fees to a minimum. Applications and their developer teams also have the opportunity to stake TLOS and absorb pay-to-use user gas fees. In this way, app users do not have to pay small transactional fees for using any decentralized apps running on the network.Block producers and other important ecosystem players are rewarded in TLOS from the network’s reserve funds.<h3>What is noteworthy about Telos?</h3>The network makes use of a novel on-chain governance voting system, known as Telos Decide. What Is Fear & Greed Index?

We are assessing Bitcoin's volatility and maximum drawdowns, comparing these metrics with the average values from the past 30 and 90 days. We suggest that an abnormal increase in volatility signals a market driven by fear.

We evaluate current trading volumes and market momentum against 30/90 day averages, then combine these indicators. Typically, high daily buying volumes in a positive market lead us to conclude that the market is excessively greedy or overly bullish.

We collect and tally posts with various hashtags for each coin from Twitter (X) and monitor the speed and volume of interactions within certain time frames. A surge in interaction rates signifies heightened public interest in the coin, which we view as indicative of a greedy market.

For Bitcoin, an increase in dominance often stems from a flight to safety, reducing speculative investments in alt-coins as Bitcoin becomes the preferred safe haven in the crypto space.
