Suzaku is a restaking infrastructure protocol designed to support Avalanche Layer-1 blockchains in scaling, securing, and decentralizing their validator ecosystems. It offers a unified framework for builders to bootstrap new L1 networks, enabling dual-staking with both native tokens and blue-chip assets (e.g., sAVAX, BTC.b, stablecoins) to enhance cryptoeconomic security while reducing reward dilution. Key participants include stakers, who restake existing assets through curators; operators, who run validator infrastructure; curators, who select networks and distribute rewards; and L1 chains, which can customize their staking and slashing rules. Suzaku's Suzaku Relay Network (SuzakuRN) extends Avalanche's Interchain Messaging by providing censorship-resistant relayers for cross-chain and subnet communications.
