Starpunk (SRP) is a blockchain gaming launchpad, it is also a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO). It aims to support the development of new games and facilitate the creation of in-game NFT marketplaces in such games. In its own words, Starpunk’s focus is to “foster a blockchain gaming community that gamers and developers will find rewarding and inspiring”.
The project was founded in 2021 and has since partnered with and incubated notable projects which have gone on to launch their own white-labeled NFT Marketplace. As well as this, the Starpunk team is developing a decentralized gaming platform that will support game development that has improved economic alignment, has trustless and efficient transactions, and finer unit economics.
SRP is Starpunk’s native currency. The platform ruins on the BSC, however, it is also compatible with the Ethereum and Polygon networks.
What are Starpunk’s key features and how does it work?
As mentioned, Starpunk’s key feature and focus is on the development and release of top-quality games. As such, the project has partnered with notable Vietnames game studios in order to increase overall quality. Examples of benefits of their partnerships include developing game ideas as well as providing sketching and incubation processes.
Another aspect which Starpunk has as an advantage is its built in launchpad, known as Starpad. Starpunk can provide gaming projects the ability to speeden up their adoption and release their game via the Starpunk Launchpad. The launchpad will enable projects to connect with the growing Starpunk community and leverage the support of already keen gaming enthusiasts.
Starpunk’s acceleration services also form a part of its main features. They aim to provide thorough reviews of gaming projects and give tailor-made advice and guidance in order to enhance the development of such games.
Starpunk also has a large network of investors and VC funds that it can tap into for project support in terms of marketing and promotion.
Starpunk is also developing Cloud Services for the metaverse economy. This includes creating white-label cloud service solutions, integrated with the Starpunk NFT Marketplace which various teams specializing in any of NFT, gaming, and social verse can benefit from.
What can SRP be used for?
Since Starpunk is a DAO, its native token, SRP, will be used as a governance and utility token. Holders will also be entitled to certain types of loyalty rewards, as well as have rights to participate in exclusive token events.
The SRP token is also used as the choice token for payments on the platform, and holders can enjoy discounted rates on its own marketplace. Fess are also generated from Starpad commissions, token transactions, as well as developer payments for access to the NFT marketplace.
