Searxly is a native macOS browser built around a local search engine and a self-custody multi-chain wallet. The core product is a SearXNG instance that runs directly on the user's machine — queries are aggregated from multiple search engines (Google, Bing, Brave, DuckDuckGo) and ranked on-device, with no Searxly server in the middle. This removes the need to trust a third-party operator with search history. The built-in wallet uses standard BIP-39/BIP-32 key derivation, supports five EVM networks including Base and Ethereum, and assigns rotating per-dApp addresses to prevent cross-site linking. Keys never leave the device. A WireGuard VPN integration is in development pending Apple entitlement approval.
