What is Sceptre?

Sceptre is a liquid staking protocol developed by Rome Blockchain Labs that supports staking on the Flare and Partisia blockchains, allowing users to deposit FLR (or wFLR) and MPC tokens to receive corresponding liquid staking tokens such as sFLR or sMPC.

It operates by delegating staked assets to a diversified set of vetted validator nodes—over 60 on Flare—to earn native network rewards, FlareDrops, and staking yields, while automatically claiming and compounding these rewards to increase the exchange rate of the liquid tokens over time.

Users maintain liquidity through the issued tokens, which can be traded, supplied to lending protocols, or used in liquidity pools on integrated Flare DeFi apps like Kinetic, Ēnosys, SparkDEX, and Blazeswap for additional yields.
