Rotten Floki is a virtual environment where users may create, control, and monetize game experiences with non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and the platform's utility token – Rotten. The virtual environment is being built using A-Frame. A-Frame is a web framework for building VR experiences and is based on top of HTML, making it simple to get started for future developers. It is a powerful entity-component framework that provides a declarative, extensible, and composable structure to three.js. Using A-Frame, Rotten Floki will be able to support all major VR headsets such as Vive, Quest, and Windows Mixed Reality. The aim is to define fully immersive interactive VR experiences that go beyond basic 360° content, making full use of positional tracking and controllers.

In-game items are stored as NFTs on the Solana blockchain. The Rotten token uses the BEP-20 standard but will support ERC-20 once the cross-chain is deployed. The platform runs on a standard backend operating on AWS with logs being stored on Elasticsearch. Each in-game asset is hashed and deployed on the blockchain using a smart contract to ensure full ownership.

Rotten is a fully decentralized and immutable BEP-20 token with a fixed token supply. It is used for purchasing digital goods and services in the ecosystem. It may be used for a variety of things, such as a medium of exchange: players may earn Rotten by participating in Rotten Floki and then spend it on wearables, equipment, or avatar customization.
