Pye is a protocol on the Solana blockchain for managing and trading stake accounts, where validators issue accounts with custom terms such as fixed or variable yields, and stakers deposit SOL to receive these accounts for earning staking rewards. It operates by allowing validators to onboard through a process that integrates their stake management with the protocol's smart contracts, enabling stakers to deposit SOL via user interfaces or CLI tools to mint stake accounts that accrue rewards proportional to the underlying validator performance. Stakers can then trade these accounts on secondary markets for liquidity without unstaking penalties, while validators handle delegation and undelegation through the protocol's architecture. The system includes supported validators listed in documentation, user guides for deposits and redemptions, and security measures like audits and bug bounties to ensure reliable operations.
