What is PulseChain (PLS)?

PulseChain is a layer-1 blockchain launched as a full-state hard fork of Ethereum. It replicates all Ethereum accounts, tokens, NFTs, and smart contracts at the time of the fork, but operates on its own independent network.

The chain uses delegated Proof-of-Stake (dPoS) for consensus, with block times around 3 seconds, and is designed to provide faster transactions and lower fees compared to Ethereum. Its native token is PLS, which is used to pay for transaction fees, staking, and governance. The network has a deflationary mechanism, where a portion of transaction fees is burned permanently, reducing supply over time.
