Essentially, an environment which supports decentralized application development. In order to facilitate this, OKX uses Tendermint and Distributed Proof-of-Stake consensus which allows low operational costs. This results in lower transaction fees and lower costs for all network participants, developers and end-users included.</p><h3>What can OKT be used for?</h3><p>Holders of the OKT token can take part in network governance as well as contribute to the security of the platform. To take part in governance, proposals can be submitted and voted on via the on-chain governance system. OKT can also be delegated to any of the validators of the OKT blockchain. This allows the owner to receive rewards in return for contributing to the network via the network’s Proof-of-Stake consensus mechanism. Additionally, in order to become a validator, at least 10,000 OKT must be staked.</p><h3>Where can you buy OKT?</h3><p>OKT is available for trading on the following CEXs and DEXs listed here.
