MiL.k is a blockchain-based platform that consists of an ecosystem where users can obtain and use accumulated reward points from different service companies. Its primary aim is to maximize the value of customers’ points’ accrued across reward programs. In more detail, MiL.k provides a method to centralize the points gathered from rewards programs of various lifestyle services into one platform. This is in order to maximize the way in which they can be used and their value. Points can be gathered from airlines, accommodation, leisure, shopping, as well as various other service sectors and can be collated and put towards other services.

MLK is the network’s native token and is the method of exchange for integrating, purchasing, and cashing the accumulated points.

What are MiL.k’s key features and how does it work?

In order to deliver its goal, the MiL.k platform has a large network of partnerships. This includes service companies that share their points-based programs with the network and its other partners. Service companies can quickly and easily join the platform by connecting with the APIs provided by MiL.k. Companies are incentivized to join and participate on the network as they are rewarded with MiL.k Coins as well as have access to the pool of customers using the platform.

The platform has two tokens: Brand Token (BT) and Mil.k Coin. Brand Tokens are service companies’ mileage points on the platform that have been converted directly into tokens. Essentially Brand Tokens are used in exactly the same way as mileage points, and they are handled off-chain, however, transactions are always recorded on-chain. 

Brand Tokens can be purchased with the Mil.k Coin, the platform’s other token. Mil.k Coin’s can be traded and exchanged on external markets, much like many other cryptocurrencies.

The Mil.K Alliance comprises the group of companies that have partnered with the network and whose points can be combined via the Mil.k platform.
