Metahero is a blockchain project built on Binance Smart Chain (BSC) that aims to accelerate the mass adoption of blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies by linking the digital metaverse to the real physical world. To do so, it is planning to use NFT smart contracts and Ultra-HD Metascanning and modelling technology leveraged by Wolf Digital World (WDW) so that users can create detailed, hyper-realistic models of real-world objects and avatars to be used in the metaverse. Their long-term aim is to create the world’s largest database of scanned objects and people where 3D avatars and objects are designed to be used for a variety of everyday functions.The project’s native token is HERO. The token is a utility token designed to give users access to the Metahero ecosystem. For example, it can be used to pay for the ultra-HD scans of objects and users themselves.&nbsp;Metahero is a self-funded project founded by Robert Gryn, who initially supplied US$10m to kickstart the project. The project launched in July 2021. In conjunction, Robert Gryn is the CEO of Everdome which partners with Metahero. Everdome is a metaverse project aiming to create a digital universe that can be populated by the 3D-scanned objects and avatars from the Metahero project.<h3>What are Metahero’s key features and how does it work?</h3>Beyond focusing on NFTs and gaming, Metahero differs from other projects because it incorporates 3D scanning. It uses Metascanning technology from Wolf Digital World to create HD hyper-real copies of people and any physical items, to be uploaded to the digital sphere. To perform the scans Metahero has begun launching 3D scanning chambers in strategic cities around the world. Users can pay 200 US Dollars’ worth of Metahero to scan themselves, whilst fees for scanning other objects vary depending on the object. The first scanning chamber has been installed in Qatar and to begin with there are plans to install 12 chambers in various locations: targeting cities with high interests in technology and gaming. Metahero plans to have 200 3D scanners placed globally by 2026.Aside from creating digital objects, the platform is aiming to monetize a user’s digital avatar and their objects. To do so, users will be able to license their avatars and digital objects using the Metahero APP to be used in various applications. This includes games or art exhibitions. In exchange for the use of avatars or objects, users are paid in the platform’s native currency, HERO. For example, the platform is planning to allow artists to scan their artwork to the Metahero platform, creating 3D NFTs. These NFTs will then have the potential to be displayed in art exhibitions and galleries. The owner of a piece of artwork could be paid royalties every time it is used in a gallery.The HERO token is deflationary and to ensure a decreasing supply; between 0-8% from each transaction is burned. HERO was launched on BSC to ensure fast and cheap transactions and to ensure scalability.<h3>What can Metahero be used for?</h3>Metahero hopes that the use cases for the metascanning function will include the creation of next-generation music videos, VR, gaming environments, online fashion i.e. virtual fitting rooms, 3D printing, the creation of NFTs, medicinal purposes, education and more. By offering a digital alternative to these everyday functions Metahero’s main goal is to facilitate popular adoption of blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies.The platform’s native token HERO will be the only useable token on the Metahero ecosystem, within which there are many use cases. This includes paying for the use of the metascanning chambers and transactions on the platform, for example within games and on the Metahero NFT marketplace. The token can also be used as a passive income source: 0-2% of each transaction on the platform is redistributed to HERO holders through a Smart Staking mechanism.
