What is Kinetic?

Kinetic is a decentralized lending and borrowing protocol primarily on the Flare Network (with support for Soroban), designed to provide "Liquidity in Motion" by allowing users to earn yield on supplied assets or borrow against collateral in a peer-to-peer, overcollateralized system similar to Aave or Compound. Launched with a focus on Flare's ecosystem, it features a main shared liquidity market for assets like sFLR, USDC.e, USDT, WETH, and flrETH, alongside isolated markets for higher-risk assets such as JOULE, FLR, USDT0, and fXRP, with plans for bridged assets and XLM integration. Interest rates are dynamically adjusted based on supply-demand ratios for transparency and stability, while features include instant deposits/withdrawals, kTokens for supplied assets, liquidations to maintain health factors, and institutional-grade dashboards via partnerships with Dune and IntoTheBlock for risk monitoring.

It is a native JOULE token used in isolated pools. Governance is transitioning toward a community DAO with off-chain voting, targeting sustainable DeFi expansion on emerging chains like Flare for cross-chain liquidity and broader access.
