CosmWasm enables WebAssembly (WASM) virtual machines (VMs) to operate in the Cosmos SDK. Essentially, this means that decentralized applications written in many different languages can be built on top of blockchains in the form of WASM smart contracts. WASM is a programming language in itself that compiles the developer's language of choice into a portable virtual machine, applications can then be deployed across various chains.</p><h3>What can JUNO be used for?</h3><p>The Juno Network can be used by developers to deploy applications within a number of industries. This includes DeFi, Gaming, Launchpads, NFT marketplaces, and more.
