Immortal is a decentralized reserve currency protocol on Celo blockchain based on the IMMO token. Each IMMO token is backed by a basket of assets such as mcUSD, mcEUR & CELO in the Immortal reserves, giving it an intrinsic value that it cannot fall below. Immortal also introduces unique economic and game-theoretic dynamics into the market through staking and bonding. 

At the moment, there are only two main strategies for investors: staking and bonding. Stakers stake their IMMO tokens in return for more IMMO tokens, while bonders provide Liquidity Pool (LP) or mcUSD tokens in exchange for discounted IMMO tokens after a fixed vesting period. Those who hodl sIMMO can cast votes on important community decisions like Audits, Listings, and Fund Management. Proposals are called Immortal Improvement Proposals (IIPs).
