<p>Euro Tether is a stablecoin that is pegged 1:1 to the Euro. It is created as part of the Tether platform. Tether was launched in 2014 as a stablecoin ecosystem producing Tether tokens. The platform aims to combine the stability of real-world tokens with the innovations of blockchain technology. All Tether tokens are pegged 1:1 to their underlying fiat currency and are fully backed by reserves.</p><p>Tether tokens can be acquired by depositing fiat currency into Tether’s bank account. Tether tokens are then issued to the user, an equivalent amount is sent to the depositor minus any associated fees.
