The DotOracle is the first EVM-compatible blockchain with programmable oracles for reading off-chain data from inside of smart contracts. The DotOracle proposes a decentralized network that allows to connect the real world to the Polkadot ecosystem by providing a decentralized oracle service to transfer information from the real world to Polkadot in real time. The network is based on the Practical Byzantine Fault Tolerance (PBFT) protocol to achieve the agreement between DotOracle nodes whenever there is user requests.

The architecture can be applied to any blockchain that can be connected to the DotOracle liquidity network by using the cross-chain bridge.

$DTO is the utility token of DotOracle network. DotOracle uses a Proof-of-Stake - based mechanism that requires public nodes to lock an amount of DTO token (approximately 500k DTO/node) to become validators of DotOracle network. The DTO lockup will be slashed if the respective node does not follow the protocol.
